Meet our team

Oxbridge Guardians have an excellent team of staff, with years of experience in education, welfare and business. The core management team lead the successful delivery of our services across the different areas of the UK and China, with each area vital for our success.

Helen Wu

Founder and Director

As the Founder and Director of Oxbridge Guardians, Helen uses her wealth of experience to benefit each student’s journey with us. Helen founded this company to ensure that excellent Educational Guardianship was provided for every student. Due to her previous experiences as an international student in the UK, Helen is able to relate to the students we provide Guardianship for and assist with the cultural changes that students may experience. Helen’s worked in the international education industry for over a decade, after graduating from Leeds University with her Masters in Business.

Steph Gilbert

UK Director & DSL

Steph’s worked with international students for over a decade, in a variety of roles including student welfare, administration and operations. With her specialism in policy, compliance and safeguarding, she ensures that Oxbridge Guardians are continually exceeding the requirements of a successful Guardianship Company, ensuring that we’re meeting the legal, safeguarding and educational requirements for all relevant parties. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead she works with schools, parents, host families and other agencies to ensure the best possible support for our students. Steph manages our team of highly trusted Host Families, ensuring that they meet our requirements to provide the best environment for our students to live in.

Guoxun Qi

Business Development Manager

An accomplished Business Development Executive with experience in Hong Kong and Shanghai, China, Guoxun has been instrumental in the success of Oxbridge Guardians. Recently relocated to the UK to support his family, Guoxun will now be more involved in visiting our School Partners and engaging with client families during their visits to schools in the UK. With two children attending UK independent boarding schools, he brings a wealth of firsthand experience to share.

Susie

Marketing Manager

As the Marketing Manager for Oxbridge Guardians, responsible for overseeing all marketing initiatives and social media operations, Susie is dedicated to amplifying our gold standard provision accredited by AEGIS and BSA. With a passion for leveraging digital platforms to engage our audience, she brings a wealth of experience in crafting compelling narratives and executing impactful marketing strategies. Collaborating closely with the team at Oxbridge Guardians, she aims to elevate our brand presence and foster meaningful connections with our stakeholders.

Yin

Student Support

Yin graduated from King’s College London with a PhD degree in media. She worked for the British Council, education institutions, and many major media outlets both in China and the UK. She works as a Student Liaison Officer, supporting students to meet their goals and assisting with daily life. She has a special interest in the promotion of UK Education.

Vector

Student Support

After graduating from university, Vector first worked at the boarding section of a British international school in China, accumulating rich experience in student management, parent-school communication, handling special situations, and establishing pastoral regulations. He moved into Guardianship and has brought his experiences from Boarding with him. Vector is one of our Student Liaison Officers with specialism in pastoral care and academic guidance.

Lily

Accounts Administrator

Lily graduated from University of York and then got her Masters degree from University College London. During her time at University, she served as an international student ambassador, providing international students with support in life and study. At Oxbridge Group, Lily has a dual role as Accounts Administrator, and Support Officer for some of our students. She has a wealth of guardianship experience, and supports with general administration also.
